The famous School Yard, bordered by Lupton’s Tower and the Eton College Chapel, was in a poor condition having been altered to reflect pupils’ desire lines over many centuries.
A refurbishment programme to completely resurface the yard using select quality paving was made complex by underlying ground conditions, a system of brick culverts and archaeology. SFK acted as structural and civil Engineer for the scheme developing innovative and sensitive solutions in response to discoveries made during construction.
