The Mitre and Turl Street are a range of grade II and grade II* buildings owned by Lincoln College that date back to 17th Century.

The lower floors were occupied by retail tenants and a large part of the building operated as Public House. The upper floors provide student accommodation. These upper rooms were completely refurbished to a high standard to provide for 70 students.

The project involved roof replacement, extensive timber repairs to the grade II* timber framed building, significant structural alterations were required to form the new circulation around the group of buildings, which was complex and awkward. A new entrance building was created in stone to form a focal entry point into the site from Turl Street.
