This 25-acre historic site, established in 1777, is believed to be the second oldest ordnance depot in the world.
It contains a complex mix of scheduled monuments, listed buildings including earthworks. The project focused on the conservation and adaptive reuse of multiple historic structures across the site.

The site presented significant challenges due to its historic sensitivity and varied building types. Works involved adapting seven structures, including heavily constructed masonry buildings such as brick barrel-vaulted chambers. Introducing new uses required major structural interventions, including new floors and openings through extremely thick walls, while preserving heritage significance.

The project successfully enabled the reuse of multiple historic buildings for contemporary purposes, including conversion of former magazine structures into new commercial use.
Structural and drainage interventions supported long-term viability while preserving the character of the site, demonstrating a sensitive approach to adapting complex heritage environments.
