Kat is a Chartered Civil Engineer with a wide range of infrastructure design and environmental management experience in all stages of the project cycle, from pre-planning through to construction. She has assessed flood risk for new and refurbished developments, designed SuDS and foul drainage networks, and pavement design and Section Agreements for Highway alterations.

At the start of her career, she gained invaluable experience working for a Tier 1 Contractor on a water treatment works and for a major highway scheme and spent a year completing ground investigations for a Geoenvironmental company. This diverse technical background gives her a holistic understanding of other disciplines and how they influence infrastructure design, such as Environmental and Geoenvironmental constraints and opportunities.
